With much surprise it was announced that Prince Harry would attend the coronation, while his wife Meghan Markle would be in California for the birthday of his son Prince Archie; however, there are other members of the Spanish royal family who have already confirmed that they will not attend either the reception or the coronation ceremony.
Queen Letizia and her husband King Felipe will be the only Spanish royals present on the coronation days, while King Felipe’s parents, King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia have planned not to attend, although the reason for their decision is unknown.

Therefore, the only kings of Spain will be the married couple, who without the company of their daughters, hope to meet again with the British royal family, and witness the great moment where the next monarch and his wife Camilla Parker will be blessed, anointed and consecrated to begin their journey as new kings of the United Kingdom.
