That is the real reason that popular singer Katy Perry chose to perform at King Charles III’s coronation, despite the fact that other notable musicians shunned the occasion because it had not occurred in more than 70 years.
As was the case with Adele and Harry Styles, some people may not have much interest in or time for King Charles III’s event and his coronation; nevertheless, for singer Katy Perry, the crowning involves much more than just singing on May 6 at Westminster Abbey.
The singer expressed her excitement to “Extra,” saying, “I could be publishing a lot because I’m going to be in a real castle, this is wild.” The artist has been quite excited. The American singer has said that singing at the coronation is very much in line with her principles, above and beyond having fun and enjoying herself.
“I’m an ambassador for one of their foundations for British Asian Trust, which focuses primarily on ending child trafficking… and it just aligned with all of my values [when] she asked me to sing,” said 38-year-old Katy Perry.
The artist wants to promote togetherness, which is one of the virtues that the upcoming queen also wants to exhibit, as well as love, respect, and optimism for all communities through her performance.
