The sixth season of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ is currently being filmed and the first official look at the actors who will play Kate Middleton and Prince William during their early twenties has been released. The photographs immediately went viral due to how much they look too much alike to their real-life counterparts.

Earlier this week, Netflix surprised everyone by revealing the first official stills of Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy who will portray Prince William and Kate Middleton respectively in the sixth season of the successful series.

This new season is going to take place in the late 90s and early 2000s. It will wrap up the late Princes Diana’s story and will also show the early days of the relationship between the Prince and Princess of Wales and how they fell in love. Just after the photos were revealed, the online community commented on the resemblance that Ed and Meg have with William and Kate, some even said they look like twins.

The sixth installment of the popular series is scheduled to be released at the end of the year and it is expected to cause a huge stir among the members of the royal family as the previous seasons have done. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s reaction to the photographs and the season premiere remains unknown.
