BTS’ Suga responds to criticism he receives for smoking cigarettes

Suga, a member of the South Korean Kpop group BTS, has faced some backlash from the public in recent years due to his smoking habit. However, it appears that the Idol has had enough of people criticizing his choices and has made the decision to respond forcefully to them.

The Bangtan rapper and producer, Suga, has addressed all of those who have criticized him for smoking and made it obvious that he has every right to live his life as he pleases with the recent release of his solo album D-DAY.

The gifted artist discussed the criticism that idols face and how challenging it is to live like that on a daily basis in the documentary “SUGA: Road to D-DAY,” which made its debut on the Disney + platform.

“The thing with idols is that we don’t need to commit a crime or do something controversial for people to judge us, I’ve never been able to understand those people. I’ve never caused trouble myself, but, well you know…. When an idol smokes at a live show…. Let’s say I get criticized for that at the age of 31,” the K-Pop artist mentioned.

Suga has stated that this is a major issue in the South Korean music industry, and that his new song, “Haegeum,” addresses it by mentioning the different restrictions placed on performers as well as how little freedom they have to live their private lives.

Additionally, he claims that the criticism and pressure to not stand out are other reasons why many people commit suicide every day. Suga, on the other hand, is of the opinion that no one has the right to condemn him for smoking cigarettes.
