This controversy started several years ago, when Meghan Markle revealed in her interview with Oprah Winfrey that the British royal house showed concern about the skin color that Prince Archie would have, when it was known that she was pregnant. This caused outrage not only to royal fans, but mainly to her husband, Prince Harry.
According to entertainment media, the Duchess of Sussex would have sent a letter to King Charles III, where she recounted her discomfort and indignation at the mistreatment she suffered while at Buckingham Palace by most members of the royal family. Of course, these statements by Meghan, plunged the British crown into a major crisis, where they were singled out as racists.

A recognized media assured that this would be the main reason why Meghan Markle rejected the invitation of King Charles III to her coronation, since, the monarch did not respond adequately to her letter recalling the racial humiliations she suffered. A source close to Buckingham Palace says that the letters sent evidences who was the one who commented on Prince Archie’s skin color.
Royal experts say that this inappropriate comment was not made with malicious intentions, however, it was very reckless of the royals to refer to such a sensitive issue today.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, has been trying to clear up all the press coverage of the racism that supposedly exists within the royal family. In a misunderstood interview with Tom Bradby, he told Harry “You told Oprah that members of your family were racist“, Harry got serious and replied: “I didn’t. The British press did not. The British press did“. Which gives us to understand that Harry does not want to continue escalating a controversy as serious as the issue of racism is nowadays.
