Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are struggling after they left the United Kingdom to start a new life in the United States in 2020. The couple had previously given up on their royal titles and left the royal family to stay away from the controversies but it looks like their plan has not gone as they expected.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still surrounded by controversies caused by the publication of Harry’s memoir, Spare, and the couple’s Netflix docuseries. On both occasions, they made some serious accusations against the royal family which is still discussed to this day.
Harry and Meghan’s popularity has decreased a lot since they moved to California. As a result, Harry might have changed his mind about his family and has reportedly tried to reconcile with King Charles III and Prince William to try to improve his reputation. Christina Garibaldi, a royal reporter of US Weekly, weighed in on the topic:
“I would imagine they probably are struggling. The Spare reception was probably not what they thought it was going to be. It’s definitely been tough for them. The Spare backlash. I even think that the Netflix series as well because we really saw their polling numbers start to nosedive following the special which I think didn’t go as well as they had hoped.”
Garibaldi came to the conclusion that the royal couple is struggling and just want to leave behind all the controversies that have affected their lives up until this moment.
