King Charles III is devastated after new details about Princess Diana’s tragic accident are revealed

King Charles III and Princess Diana’s love story was not what everyone thought it was. However, some people say that Charles truly loved her and that their relationship should have not ended in the way it did. To this day, Diana remains one of the most beloved royal figures of the British people.

Earlier this week, the British media revealed new details regarding Princess Diana’s tragic accident which took her life 25 years ago on August 31, 1997. On that same day, the royal family was notified of one of the worst news they could have ever received and which changed Prince William and Harry’s lives forever.

The late Queen Elizabeth II was in Balmoral Castle when she was notified about the accident and she immediately decided to take a closer look at the news on television. However, she was not affected by this as she did not consider Diana as part of the royalty. On the other hand, King Charles III was completely devastated by the news and decided to travel to France right away despite the fact that he and Diana had broken up two years before.

Charles was also the person in charge of notifying his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, about what happened. It is now being reported that Elizabeth remained calm and reacted in an almost heartless way to the situation. However, Charles asked her to send a private plane to France so Diana’s body could be brought back to the United Kingdom.

Queen Elizabeth II finally accepted Charles’ request and understood the importance of Diana to the British people. As a result, her attitude changed and she approved that Diana was treated as a member of the royalty which made it possible for her funeral to be organized with the same standards.
