Prince Harry’s attendance at King Charles III’s coronation was not confirmed until the very last moment. By being late, Harry broke royal protocols because the deadline to inform Buckingham Palace about his attendance was April 3.
The royal family and Harry’s relationship was damaged after the Duke of Sussex released his memoir, Spare. In the book, he revealed that the royal family was racist toward Meghan Markle. In addition, Harry recently testified in court and said that his family was complicit in the attacks he received. They knew about the massive negative press towards his family but did nothing to stop it.
Despite the several controversies surrounding them, Harry confirmed his attendance at King Charles III’s official coronation which will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. However, Meghan Markle is missing from the guest list released by Buckingham Palace and it was revealed that she will stay in the United States with their children.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry waited until the very last moment to confirm his attendance because he was pretty concerned about where he would have to sit. After all the controversies, he thought the royal family would try to stay away from him so he decided to talk with King Charles III himself to discuss the seat.
It was previously reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would sit at the back of the event. However, King Charles III decided to sit him close to the family because it will improve the public’s opinion of them as people might think that they reconciled after all the scandals.
