Shakira has had enough and lashes out at tabloids for harassing her children

Since her split from the contentious ex-footballer Gerard Piqué, the Colombian singer Shakira has attracted the attention of Spanish tabloids. While this has caused problems for her, her children Sasha and Milan have reportedly felt harassed by the cameras, according to sources close to the singer’s family.

Shakira recently expressed her discomfort and concern about the situation her children are currently in as a result of the paparazzi who follow them and harass them daily. The singer then posted an official statement to her social media accounts pleading with the media to stop bothering her kids.

Fans and experts agree that the artist moved from Spain primarily due to her father’s illness, but now that Shakira has made these statements through her networks, they affirm that she also made the move in order to psychologically protect her children, who, in accordance with her statement, felt harassed and very concerned.

Sasha and Milan, who are just 10 and 8 years old, were urged to stop the pursuit. According to local media, the artist just cares about protecting her children and is unconcerned with what people think of her—something she had anticipated ever since she became well-known.

The provocative post made by the Colombian singer from her networks received support from Shakira’s fans in the comments section. Some claim that the singer will file a lawsuit against any media outlets that continue to photograph her kids while they’re in school.

“I beg you to abstain from following them to the entrance and exit of their school, wait for them at the door of our home, or follow them to their extracurricular and recreational activities as the media did in barcelona with the intent of capturing photos or boosting ratings.”

Shakira shared: “I trust that the journalists and photographers here will be sensitive to the situation and that Milan and Sasha are facing and can behave in the more humane way possible with them, keeping in mind that this is about the physical and emotional health and safety of two minors just 8 and 10 years of age.”
