Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States in 2020 after giving up their royal titles to live a better and calmer life. However, their life there might be at risk as it was recently revealed that Harry could be deported back to the United Kingdom due to his declarations.
The Duke of Sussex is currently being investigated by American authorities after he revealed in his memoir, Spare, that he has consumed illegal substances in the past. According to migrations experts, this is a valid reason to have his visa canceled.
The substances that Harry used included cocaine, marijuana, and hallucinogenic mushrooms. He explained that he used them to deal with the depression that Princess Diana’s death caused him. However, Prince Harry had to be interrogated by an immigration officer in order to get a visa so this means that he lied during the process and hid this information from them.
Kaitlin Davies, who’s an immigration lawyer, explained that it’s likely that Prince Harry’s American visa will be canceled because of this. This could put at risk his residency status and his relationship with Meghan Markle. In addition, it is being said that the couple is already looking for other places to live in case the American authorities evict them.
