Kate Middleton was just 9 years old when she met Prince William. Kate’s school hosted the prince’s school for a field hockey game and, although Kate was still not very interested in boys, Prince William caught her attention, she confessed “I was only a 9 years old…”
That was the first time they met, but it would not be the last, as Prince William and Kate Middleton met again in 2001, when they were both studying art history at the University of St. Andrews. They began to know each other and little by little.
What began as a nice friendship would end in a couple relationship when she agreed to go out with him in 2003. The relationship was the target of the press, everyone wanted a photo of the couple and in 2007, the media pressure they were under was so great that they decided to take some time off.

But it was only their brief separation that made them realize how much they loved each other. Finally, their love triumphed and on April 29, 2011, after getting engaged in 2010 with Lady Diana‘s ring, they said ‘I do’, starring in the wedding of the year after almost a decade together, and the rest is history.
