The British Royal Family is celebrating its first Easter without Queen Elizabeth II, so Kate Middleton has now been chosen to fulfill the role of the late monarch, Middleton will be in charge of all the activities. According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Prince William’s wife has been chosen by Buckingham Palace for the holiday.
Seward indicated to The Sun that the royals are planning a big family gathering, with literally everyone on the guest list, including King Charles, Queen consort Camilla Parker, Princess Anne and Tim Laurence, Zara and Mike Tindall, Peter Phillips, Sophie and Edward, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie with their husbands and children.
“It’s always the same group and has been for many years,” Seward continues, adding, “It’s supposed to be the Queen’s job, now it would have to be run by Camilla Parker, but Kate is a great organizer and the palace has chosen her for an Easter egg hunt. They can also go to the royal stables and see the horses there and there is an indoor pool for swimming and ponies to ride.”
.
Easter activities will take place at Windsor Castle, or “the Easter Court,” as it is known, is always at Windsor and always has been. The royal gathering is not as large as it used to be and has always revolved around the children and grandchildren. “Easter Day breakfast always consists of decorated hard-boiled eggs and small gifts are exchanged, but nothing expensive, maybe a painted box or a bunny,” she said.
Meanwhile, the family “will all dine together, but not the small children who will eat in the nursery dining room.” The Queen always said that until they could properly hold a knife and fork they could not eat at the table, but Charles might have relaxed that rule a bit.”
