Gerard Piqué says Shakira’s songs caused him and Clara Chía mental health problems

Gerard Piqué revealed during a recent interview that he was outraged about Shakira’s attitude. According to him, his and Clara Chía’s mental health has worsened due to Shakira’s diss songs about their breakup.

Shakira and Piqué’s relationship ended after 12 years when it was confirmed that Piqué had an affair with Clara. After a few months, the couple decided to make their relationship official and have been highly criticized since then. They have kept a low profile but it looks like they’re now ready to talk openly about what happened.

The former soccer player recently gave his first interview where he addressed the songs that Shakira has been releasing. Piqué criticized the Colombian singer for revealing personal details about their breakup. According to him, she is profiting from the situation without thinking about his and Clara Chía’s mental health.

I don’t really wanna talk about bc it’s a private matter but it seems like people don’t think about the consequences that doing something like that can have on mental health. It works out very great for one person and it’s great, but we don’t think about the other person. What needs to happen? Maybe someone ends their life and we finally admit that we’ve gone too far? I’m very disappointed in our society.

He ended the interview by claiming that he is completely happy with his new life and that he’s with someone that truly loves him and that’s the only thing that matters. He does not care about what the media or his haters have to say.
