Jimin, one of the members of popular South Korean group BTS, is receiving numerous reviews from vocal experts after his latest live performance of his single ‘Like Crazy‘ on a popular South Korean program. However, criticisms have also taken hold among internautas, who see their live vocals as “disappointing”.
As part of the promotion of his first solo album ‘FACE‘, Jimin attended the program ‘M Countdown’, where he went viral on social media because of the many negative comments towards his live voice.
On the Thursday, March 30 edition, the BTS star idol and dancer was crowned as the overall winner of the week when his song Like Crazy beat girlband NMIXX in score.
As is tradition in the program, the winning artist has to perform an encore or live performance to celebrate the win with the fans. This moment is undoubtedly very difficult, as it focuses all the attention on the artist’s actual voice (as no one is allowed to use backing tracks) and also serves as an occasion to fulfill bets with the audience attending the program.
.
In Park Jimin’s case, the encore performance of his latest track was described by several users as “disappointing“, “horrible” and “disastrous“, as almost the entire time he was singing, his voice was very shaky and out of tune.
After the wave of criticism, ARMY has not hesitated to defend Jimin, claiming that everything could have been caused by a technical failure that may have occurred in the program.
