King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain are currently in the public eye because they issued a statement where Letizia has made her husband sign a divorce clause with her lawyer which could ensure that Queen Consort is not to going to be homeless once the divorce becomes official.
According to the blog ‘Lecturas’ written by Pilar Eyre, it was confirmed that King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia’s marriage is coming to an end due to the multiple confrontations regarding the future of her children, Princess Leonor and Infanta SofÃa. Eyre also stated that the King and Queen of Spain have had a feud for several months now, they don’t talk to each other and a divorce is imminent.
In addition, the writer also explained what could happen if Letitia divorces the King. The Queen Consort was able to have King Felipe sign a divorce settlement in order to obtain a couple of properties and part of his fortune as well. This does not come as a surprise as it was also revealed that the couple signed up for a prenuptial agreement which gives her an advantage.
According to the El Nacional de Cataluña newspaper, Felipe signed the agreement without any restraint because he thought his marriage with Letizia would last forever. However, the King is willing to give Letizia what she wants and end their relationship once and for all.
Queen Letizia is reportedly going to receive two properties and a compensatory pension which will allow her to live her life peacefully and far from the public’s attention.
