The agency behind BLACKPINK, YG Entertainment, confirmed on March 28th that the girl group received an invitation to perform at the event that will bring together U.S. President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol in Washington in April at Carnegie Hall.
In addition, should this be the first time the South Korean girl group is called by the White House, sources say Lady Gaga would also have been invited for the event celebrating 70 years of U.S.-South Korean relations.
Previously BLACKPINK and the American singer collaborated on the song “Sour candy“, however they have not had the opportunity to perform it live together.

On the other hand, the invitation to the important event could complicate the agenda of the girl group that in the month of April, more specifically 26th and 27th, has concerts in Mexico City as part of their world tour BORN PINK.
“Both the activities in Mexico and the presentation of the cultural event may take place“, announced the agency spokesperson.
“BLACKPINK is expected to perform at Carnegie Hall before or after their chow in CDMX,” reported MBN.
