After playing Cassie in Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney‘s career has been taking off. In recent months, the actress has starred in big-name series such as Sky Atlantic and The White Lotus, as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
However, achieving such a level of fame was not always easy. As the young star had to go through several difficulties to achieve this success, along with facing an industry dominated by connections.
In a recent interview with The Sun, the American actress shared her thoughts on nepo babies in Hollywood. And she pointed out how difficult it was for her to enter an industry where there are many people who achieve success at the expense of relatives.
.
“I had no idea going into this industry how many people have connections. I started from scratch, and I know how hard it is. Now I see how someone can just walk through a door, and I say, ‘I worked hard for 10 years for this.”
“I might have had to work longer to get through the same door they were able to get through. But there’s nothing I can do about it,” the actress added, revealing her stance on the nepos bebies, which uncomfortably includes her Euphoria co-star Maude Apatow.
In fact, the actress who plays Lexi in the series, in 2020 already responded to critics accusing her of privileged life. “I try not to let it get to me because obviously I understand that I’m in such a fortunate position. A lot of people, in a similar position, have proven themselves over the years, so I have to go ahead and do a good job.”
