After her commented absence at the traditional reception on Commonwealth Day, Kate Middleton (41) has reappeared a few weeks ago wearing her best version on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day. A historic date in which she made her debut as a colonel of the Irish Guards during the parade that took place in Aldershot with a look that has not been without controversy.
On St. Patrick’s Day it is tradition to wear green. However, it seems that the boldness of Kate Middleton has not liked too much and is that her new coat has blue tints far removed from the bottle green characteristic of the event. Regardless of the shade, there is no doubt that it is a very flattering piece that favors (and much) to the Princess of Wales.
It is an exclusive creation by Catherine Walker that is pure inspiration for winter guests. The coat, which fit Kate’s silhouette to the millimeter, had a series of details that make it even more sophisticated and special, pronounced shoulder pads, slightly raised collar, flattering pleats, central buttoning and back opening for more comfort that has not lost a bit of brightness despite the wind and rain that greeted them in the city.

True to protocol, Kate Middleton completed her look with matching accessories in the same color. She crowned her brunette mane with a Jane Taylor ruffled headpiece to match a pair of simple suede pumps. On her lapel she wore a shamrock brooch, which during the fashion show she covered with a huge green natural shamrock.
After the main ceremony, Kate joined her husband to visit the Junior Ranks dining room. There the guards have encouraged the Prince and Princess of Wales to have a beer. “I couldn’t be prouder to be here in front of you today. It is a real honor to be your Colonel. I am here to listen to you, support you and defend you in everything you do,” she said in her speech.
