More than $100,000 in Bad Bunny concert tickets returned

It is now known that the case has been almost entirely closed following a series of incidents that occurred a little more than three months ago regarding the planning and logistics for Bad Bunny’s concerts in Mexico City, which ultimately had an impact on thousands of people who were unable to enter the venue where the event was to take place.

The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) reports that Ticketmaster has already made amends to 2,155 customers who were turned away from Bad Bunny’s concerts on December 9 and 10, 2022, despite having an initial and valid ticket.

Ticketmaster won’t be penalized financially for keeping its promise to issue the reimbursements. The business charged customers the price of the ticket, service fees, and an extra 20% for the inconvenience they caused, costing the distributor of tickets $984430.05 dollars

According to the Attorney General’s Office, $19651.71 dollars of this total correlate to the compensation provided for in the Federal Consumer Protection Law. It’s important to note that only 1,086 of the 2,155 tickets that were refunded were the subject of complaints made to Profeco; the remaining 1,69 tickets made a straight request for the refund.

The process started after complaints were made about Ticketmaster on social media, and the company issued a statement alleging that there were tickets purchased illegally that would not be refunded. It was also announced that only 55 of the total number of affected people remain to receive compensation, and when this happens, the case will be completely closed.
