Princess Diana’s ex-boyfriend, Hasnat Khan attacked with strong declarations against the British press because he feel that the media abused the late Princess Diana’s humility to obtain personal information and royal family information as well.
Princess Diana and Hasnat Khan started to date in 1995 and they split up before the tragic accident in 1997, Princess Diana was hugely recognized back then due to an interview with the BBC, where she expressed her marital issues even when it was not habitual to talk about those matters without previous preparation.
Khan affirmed that BBC’s reporter, Martin Bashir strongly persuaded Princess Diana in the interview in 1995, Diana’s ex-boyfriend ensured that one of his favorite thing about Princess Diana was the humility and vulnerability that she radiated, however, the reporter took advantage of the Princess’ qualities in order to know more about of royal matters which confused Diana a lot.
Bashir allegedly forged some checks to convince Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer to get him an interview with her, after an exhaustive investigation by the BBC in 1996 it was concluded that the forged documents do not have any relation to the reporter’s interview.
According to Khan, the reporter’s intention was to manipulate the royalty’s information regarding the failed marriage with King Charles III, and some of the topics was considered controversial months later because they were expressed by the Princess herself.
