Prince Harry, is running a serious risk with his residence in the United States, since he is being requested to be definitively deported for an alleged lie he would have told in order to obtain his visa, something that is very delicate within the immigration codes in the U.S. territory.
The Duke of Sussex, son of Diana, admitted to using drugs, but the U.S. government has been asked to explain why he was allowed to enter the country. This was revealed through a complaint that a group of American conservatives filed yesterday.
In order for the American citizen to know whether Harry disclosed his drug use throughout the residency application process, the Heritage Foundation argued that his visa application should now be made public.
For lying to immigration officials, there are very serious consequences under U.S. immigration law, including deportation and a prohibition on applying for visas again in the future.
The foundation argued that the government should explain how the visa of actress Meghan Markle’s husband was granted despite the prince’s own admission of his addictions and that the visa application should be made public.
Harry acknowledged using cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelic mushrooms in his autobiography, Spare. The Prince stated that cocaine was more of a “social thing” and kept him relaxed in the face of the pressure he felt inside Buckingham Palace, whereas marijuana and psychedelics “really helped” with his “trauma”.
Heritage is now requesting that the U.S. government explain why Prince Harry was granted a visa despite all of his addictions, or if he truly lied to immigration officials to get his visa approved.
