Recently, details have been revealed about the lawsuit that has received the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, by his ex-girlfriend Carliz De La Cruz, who denounces him before the court of San Juan in Puerto Rico for damages and image rights.
De la Cruz is a professional lawyer in law since 2021, the complaint is because Benito Martinez, has been using the phrase “Bad Bunny Baby” in most of his songs, says the lawsuit, without the prior authorization of Carliz, since when they were dating, both reached an agreement on this phrase, they decided that it would be a motivating idea, that Benito included after his stage name Bad Bunny, the word ‘baby’, this was written in a legal document that was filed on March 1st, 2015, in the court of San Juan.

In 2011 the young De La Cruz received a request from the Latin trap singer, where he told her to record a voice note saying “Bad Bunny Baby“, to use it in his songs, a request that she accepted by recording the note and sending it to Benito, now many years later she is demanding the sum of 40 million dollars, for allegedly not having authorized the artist the use of this phrase.
Currently, the record production company with which the famous Latin trap artist works, is working judicially to reject this lawsuit, since local entertainment media assure that the phrase did have the permission of the plaintiff, something that many fans have taken as a mockery towards Carliz, for only wanting to get a great fortune in an easy way.
