The plans of Prince William and Kate Middleton for the future of Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, 7, will have to find a job for a living. Royal expert Richard Eden tells the Daily Mail. For a long time it was thought that Prince William, once he ascended to the throne, would give the little girl a special gift: he would give her the title of Princess Royal (the same title that has belonged to Anne of England since 1987) elevating her even further up the noble ladder.

The future of Charlotte, on the other hand, seemed already written: she would become a full-time royal worker. With her work for the Crown, she would support the future kings: first her father William, then her older brother George. Actually.

According to Eden, the Prince and Princess of Wales have very different plans for their only daughter: “From what I’ve heard, William and Kate Middleton want Charlotte to grow up with the awareness that she won’t be a full-time royal and will have to get a job.”

So do her cousins Beatrice and Eugenie of York, former deputy director of a technology company in New York one and associate director of an art gallery in London the other.

.

Prince George, 9, has a destiny already written and a future on the throne of England assured. But Charlotte and her younger brother, Louis, 4, are likely to be at risk of unemployment: their grandfather, King Charles III, aspires to a lighter monarchy and intends to reduce the team of royal workers to just seven members.

The Welsh princes know this and want to build a future independent of the Crown for their youngest children. Also because, as some royal experts point out, William and Kate Middleton fear the “Harry effect” more than anything else in the world. That is, they fear that their younger children, as adults, will end up frustrated and dissatisfied with their royal lives. Just as it happened to Harry, who throughout his life felt like a “spare”, a replacement part, for his older brother William, who grew up the crown secured.

The Duke of Sussex himself said he was anxious about the fate of his nieces and nephews Charlotte and Louis, the next “spares”: “At least one will end up like me and that worries me,” he said in a recent interview with The Telegraph.

But Harry, according to royal experts, can sleep easy. William and Kate, for Charlotte and Louis, are preparing a path of study and work that will one day allow them to build the career they love. A non-royal career able to fill their days ensuring satisfaction and serenity. In short, the “curse of the spare parts” does not seem destined to repeat itself.
