At the 95th Oscar Awards ceremony that took place this March there was a pair of actors who took all the flashes. We’re talking about Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, who got to present an award together. The actors were chosen by the Academy to present the nominees for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, and reveal their respective winners.
From that moment on, the Internet went crazy for them and it seems that one studio didn’t want to let this go unnoticed, so they hired them for their next movie.
Deadline confirmed that Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are closing contract details to star in a StudioCanal romance film to be called ‘We Live in Time’. It will be directed by John Crowley from a script written by Nick Payne (Wanderlust).
.
Not too many details of the plot are known, but the aforementioned site reports that it was defined as “a funny, totally touching and immersive romantic story“. It would start shooting before the end of 2023, so it would be most logical to see it in the beginning or middle of next year.
This could change in the future if the much rumored return of Garfield’s Peter Parker is confirmed, provided they make him reappear within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), where Florence Pugh was left as the heir to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow mantle.
