BTS’ Jungkook’s aggressive response to his fans calling him out on his alcoholism

Jungkook is the youngest member of the South Korean sensation that has conquered the world, the pop group BTS, global ambassadors of the Kpop genre. Recently, the group has been absent due to the obligations that the members have to comply with as South Korean citizens.

As reported on mid-October of last year, the group was going on a hiatus of around 3 years to give the members a period of time to fulfill their obligations in the military service. All males born in South Korea have to serve for 18 months in the military service, which is an obligation that the seven members of the group cannot skip, not even with their globally famous status.

During this 3-year period that they have been given, some members have already started the process to join the military service, Jin is already 3 months in, SUGA and J-Hope are about to enlist, while the rest of the members are still making music, partaking in different events, or making arrangements for their military schedule.

Jungkook, on his part, has released a solo song for the Qatar World Cup of 2022, and also started a series of live streams to connect with his fans through social media. He has done two live streams so far, both being massive events for the fandom and the entertainment industry of south Korea, but the third and most recent one has been quite polemic for unnecessary reasons.

During his latest live, Jungkook decided to share with his audience his alcohol bottles collection, which includes mostly pricy beverages labeled as whiskey. Some fans tried to scold him with phrases like “you need to stop drinking” or giving him unrequested advise on how to live his life without alcohol.

The singer defended his actions by toning up his voice and firmly stating that he is a grown adult who can make his own decisions, shutting down the fan’s comments.

“Ah, why are you guys telling me to stop drinking? I’m a grown adult, and I’m 27. I’m enjoying it while I’m still young. You only live once. If I am born again as… If I’m guaranteed a second life, I wouldn’t do this”– Jungkook about his low alcohol drinking. Here’s the video of the idol making this affirmations.
