BTS is the most popular boyband at the moment but it looks like the music industry has taken them for granted and their future is uncertain. RM, leader of the band, has given an interview to the acclaimed Spanish international news agency EFE. The rapper opened his heart and expressed his thoughts about what his and the band’s future will look like after all the members have completed their duty as South Korean citizens by enlisting in the military.
The idol is spending some time in Spain and he is currently on a well-deserved vacation with his family. That did not stop him from talking with the press to talk about his life and music career:
I think BTS will make it, we will come together again when we finish our military service, and we will look for new synergies between us to enter a second phase. But, in any case, nothing lasts forever.
During the interview in Barcelona, RM also revealed that he is going through a “hard time on a human level.” After 10 years of non-stop work with BTS, he didn’t know who he was. He is using this time to reflect on it, “I’ve gone back to thinking about the beginnings and the real reasons why I joined BTS.”
After the shocking declarations, the singer ensured the general public that he knows that his expectations regarding the band’s future are unclear but he really wants to have this time for enjoying himself and that time will reunite BTS again.
