On a well-known American program presented by Jimmy Fallon, Colombian singer Shakira recently conducted her first interview with Argentine producer Bizarrap.
It was widely assumed that the performer would discuss her former relationship with Gerard Piqué and the betrayal that was perpetrated against her in that interview. The subject was already buried for her, they added, and she would rather speak about women’s empowerment.
On March 10, however, a large audience saw Shakira and Bizarrap launch a fresh public assault on Piqué and Clara Chía, their respective current boyfriends.
In addition to singing along with the audience “Music Session #53”, the businesswoman referred to her breakup with the former Barcelona defender:
“This song has been a kind of anthem for me, and writing this song has been very important for me, it has been a healthy way to channel my emotions.”
“This is a sisterhood of women who have gone through the same things I’ve been through, who think like me, who feel the way I feel, who had to put up with as much sh*t as I do.”- Shakira said on the show
Last but not least, the performer bid her fans farewell by performing the song—which has garnered her numerous awards—live.
