Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly gotten into an argument with King Charles III, Harry’s father and Meghan’s father-in-law, due to the royal titles that were denied to the couple’s two children.
Everything began with the controversies that sparked from the Prince’s book, Spare, and the couple’s Netflix special. The royal family was accused of being racist and King Charles III did not take these remarks lightly and decided to distance himself from his son and, consequently, both of his grandchildren.
Although it was reported by the media that there could be a reconciliation between the two families, things quickly went south after the royal family turned an invitation down and refused to attend the baptism of Harry and Meghan’s daughter, Lilibet.
The fact that the family did not bother to show up to the baptism was interpreted as their way of demonstrating that Archie and Lilibet are not welcome as royals. However, a royal expert spoke about the situation:
The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became monarch. This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace.
It looks like this whole saga will have a happy ending as the palace updated the royal family’s official website earlier this week to reflect Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana’s titles.
