The British government appears to be trying to mend fences with the Prince Harry and repair its reputation. King Charles III has appointed Archie and Lilibet Diana as Lords of England, so this action has come as too much of a surprise. They have also been listed as royal family members on the Buckingham Palace website.
Some commentators have assumed that the monarchy is attempting to strengthen its connection with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a result of this gesture. The couple and King Charles III allegedly came to a “cease fire” arrangement. Additionally, there are rumors that Prince Harry and his wife have consented to vacate Frogmore Cottage in exchange for Prince William and the king’s apology for the abuse the couple allegedly experienced while members of the royal family.
Archie and Lilibet’s placement as princes seems to be a possible component of this tactic. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited by King Charles III and Buckingham Palace to the crowning of the new king on May 6. Some experts believe that the inclusion of the kids as princes may be an effort to make amends with the pair.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex don’t seem to be persuaded, however, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry think that their kids should make their own decisions about their future and don’t think that making Archie and Lilibet kings is the best way to make amends to them. Additionally, there is still a significant issue with the protection of the family in the UK that hasn’t been resolved.
The inclusion of their children as princes appears to be a step in the correct path for the couple’s reconciliation, though it is still unknown whether they will attend King Charles III’s coronation.
