As he has been doing for several months, Prince Harry continues to stir up debate surrounding his personal life and the British Monarchy. It is now confirmed that his reputation has suffered significantly more since he mentioned using narcotics.
The prince Harry chose to criticize members of the royal family and his closest relatives, including his sibling Prince William and his father King Charles III, in his book “Spare,” which was published in January and has already set sales records.
Beyond the contentious remarks he made about them, the duke also made remarks about his own life that currently keep him apart from his family and exacerbate both his personal situation and the environment.
Prince Harry discussed how using drugs has given him a more peaceful life in the book of memoirs and in an interview with Dr. Gabor Maté, a mental health specialist who gave him a diagnosis of four severe mental illnesses.
But apparently aware of the revelation, his image as a victim of his family’s abuses is being highly criticized; “The prince spoke of hallucinogens that help him to “clean the windshield” of his disturbed mind”, commented a royal expert.
The professional on the subject noted “I would have thought that his comments on drug use were very controversial. The parts of the memoir where that is discussed include him talking to a dustbin lid and this has not been beneficial to his image.”
Prince Harry’s contentious remarks have definitely caused trouble for the royal family, but this suggests that perhaps his statements were made with the intention of disparaging the family unfairly.
