King Charles III and the other members of the British royal family were called by Prince Harry of the United Kingdom and his wife, American actress Meghan Markle, to the baptism of their daughter Lilibet Diana. But the royals’ reaction was the reverse of what they had anticipated, leading to increased rivalry and internal disputes with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The Irish Mail reported that Harry and Meghan christened their baby Lilibet on March 3 in Los Angeles, California. The couple’s close friends and a few of the actress’s relatives witnessed the wedding.
Unexpectedly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had extended a very special offer to British royal family members. King Charles III, Camilla Parker, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were present.
Prince Harry and his wife were disappointed that the members of the crown turned down the friendly offer and chose not to attend the christening. This kind of circumstance only prolongs the bitter dispute already present between the two sides and makes it harder to come to a resolution.
According to a source close to the couple, neither King Charles III nor any other royal had the grace to even give the baby and her parents a congratulations letter.
With this, we can definitively say that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s long-awaited reunion with the British royal family is not yet complete.
