According to sources close to her, the Colombian singer Shakira is getting ready to relocate to Miami with her two boys, Milan and Sasha. The relocation, which had been delayed due to the condition of the artist’s father, would now be underway and planned for April of 2019.
The ex-football player Gerard Piqué’s parents, however, have drawn notice for the way they responded to the news by throwing a “small party” to mark the departure of their ex-daughter-in-law and her children.
The children’s grandparents reportedly convened a meeting to celebrate the departure of the singer and her children. They were reportedly joined by Clara Chía, who was able to develop a close connection with Piqué’s parents in a way that Shakira never could.
Even though it is well known that Pique’s parents and Shakira did not get along, the Colombian artist did not appreciate their approach given that not only she but also her children are moving.
After the contentious breakup with the former football player, who has agreed that the children will move with their mother to the United States and that she will have custody of the two minors, Shakira’s move to Miami suggests the beginning of a new era in her work and in her life.
