Through a live program, Prince Harry has acknowledged his relationship with psychedelic drugs as a key aspect of his existence.
The Duke of Sussex recently met with Gabor Maté, a mental trauma specialist, who identified four of the diseases the prince is currently dealing with, including anxiety, melancholy, post-traumatic stress disorder, and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder.
The use of psychedelic drugs, which he has primarily used for recreational purposes but which “have helped him conquer his traumas,” was another topic she discussed with him.
Prince Harry discussed his relationship with drugs in “Spare” and recalled the British populace that he was labeled a “drug addict” at the age of just 17 after trying various drugs and even mushrooms at a party at the home of a well-known “Friends” actor.
In his discussion, he acknowledged that using drugs changed how he felt and that he had come to understand their advantages. The duke said, “It brought me a feeling of relaxation, relief, comfort, and a lightness that I managed to control for a time.
He even affirmed: “I would say that it is one of the fundamental parts of my life that changed me and helped me deal with the traumas and pains of the past”, referring expressly to the pain caused by the death of his mother Princess Diana.
Prince Harry may stir up more debate for the British Crown with these remarks, but he freely acknowledges that he is merely releasing information that has been kept under wraps for a very long time.
