The highly polemic split between the Colombian singer Shakira and the Spanish football player Piqué, is still the topic of discussion for the general public and a constant topic for tabloids. Ever since the split was announced and Piqué new relationship with one of the workers of his company was revealed, the conversation has been growing nonstop.
The paparazzi Jordi Martin, who has been in charge of following the case of Piqué and Clara, has publicly declared war with the ex-football player. As he revealed in the Spanish TV program “El Gordo y la Flaca”, Gerard Piqué was close to hitting him with his car when he asked him about Shakira’s diss track.
Jordi claimed that was the most “disgusting” encounter he’s had with a star, and he revealed that he also received insults and the middle finger. The worst, however, was when Piqué found his phone number and called him to make threats, though it has happened a few times.
Despite the public hatred and the constant attacks from Shakira, the couple is no longer hiding their relationship from social media nor paparazzis. He has even posted a picture of the two of them on his social media and has been going out more frequently than ever, without covering their faces.
The split from Shakira happened after more than 10 years together and two kids, hence why it has been the most commented on split since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Shakira, on her part, has been fueling the polemic with multiple songs dissing her ex-husband, the most recent one, “TQG”, is a collaboration with fellow Colombian singer Karol G, filled with lyrics of self-encouragement.
