Jungkook, one of the most popular members of BTS, gained a lot of attention online as people noted that he had deleted his Instagram account. This immediately generated panic among the ARMY as the singer didn’t give a specific reason and he did it without warning.
It can be said that BTS is not going through their best moment as several of their members are leaving the band. First, Jin had to stop any kind of activity related to his musical career to fulfill his duty as a South Korean citizen and enlist in the military in December.
A few days ago, it was also reported that J-Hope will be the next member of the band to start his military service, which will last for 18 months. This is why the news of Jungkook deleting his account caused concerns because there is a sentiment among fans that there are less members working in the band or active on social media as the time passes.
However, it’s important to highlight the boys really care about their fans and Jungkook knew that deleting an account with more than 50 million followers would not go unnoticed so he decided to release a statement through Weverse to calm the ARMY:
I deleted my Instagram account. It wasn’t hacked. I just did it because I wasn’t using it much… So there’s nothing to worry about
The singer also made it clear that he will continue using Weverse to communicate with his fans moving forward. Also, according to a statement from BigHit Entertainment, BTS will reform again as a group around 2025.
