Madonna’s older brother dies and she is indifferent to the news

The “Queen of Pop”, Madonna is once more in the headlines, this time due to unfavorable information that her older brother Anthony Ciccone passed away just a few hours ago.

The cause of his demise is not yet known; all that is known is that his battle with alcoholism is over.

Joe Henry, the deceased’s brother-in-law and the spouse of Melanie Ciccone, the artist’s sister, revealed the news by posting an emotional message for Anthony on Instagram:

“My brother-in-law, Anthony Gerard Ciccone, left this earthly plane last night. I have known him since he was 15 years old, in the spring of our lives in Michigan, so many years ago”.

He added that although his brother-in-law was a complex individual, he was still adored by him:

“As Brother Dave Henry (who took this picture) points out here, Anthony was a complex character; and God knows: we got tangled up at times, as true brothers can. But I loved him and understood him better than I was sometimes willing to let on. But problems fade away; and family remains, hands folded on the table.”

On the other hand, he revealed how, for the time being, he prefers to remember Ciccone after his passing, something that helps him deal with the situation:

“Farewell, then, brother Antonio. I would like to think that the god your blessed mother (and mine) believed in has her there, waiting for you. At least for today, no one will dissuade me from this vision,” he ended.

So far Madonna has not commented on the death of her brother.
