King Charles III and his brother Andrew’s strained relationship has reached a breaking point. The monarch has decided to substantially reduce Prince Andrew’s yearly allowance of 249,000 pounds, according to the “Daily Mirror” portal.
The prince won’t have enough money to maintain the Royal Lodge residence, which he has lived in for the past 19 years with his children and Sarah Ferguson, as a result of the measure, which will go into effect in April.
Some have perceived King Charles III’s choice as an effort to kick his brother out of the house. It appears that there has been tension between the two siblings for a long time since their differences cannot be reconciled. Many people consider the decrease in the financial allowance to be another stage in the king’s strategy to drive his brother out of the mansion.
The royal family owns the 30 million pound estate known as The Royal Lodge, which is situated in Windsor. The house is occupied by Sarah Ferguson while she is in England, thus she will have to vacate it the next summer. Prince Andrew is in a precarious situation and may soon find himself without a place to live.
Prince Andrew would have been familiar with the adoption of this step since, according to reports, a senior royal made a lighthearted remark to him in December. However, he and his family, who must leave the house soon, were shocked to learn that his allowance had been reduced.
