Shakira launches clothing line inspired by Gerard Piqué

Following the success of her collaboration with Bizarrap on the song Session #53, Shakira shocked her social media followers this morning by disclosing that, like other of her songs, this tune had already been incorporated into a piece of clothing from her collection.

The musician claimed that the sweatshirt, which she displayed on her Instagram stories, is a limited edition of her collection and was inspired by words from her songs and albums. However, she did not stop there; she also acknowledged the designer of the garment.

shakirashakiraShakira disclosed the design was created by her niece Isabella Mebarak on both her goods sales page and her social media accounts. Isabella Mebarak was motivated by one of the Session #53 statements that had the most influence on networks: “Women no longer cry, women bill.”

The statement and Shakira’s silhouette are written in black letters on a white hoodie. However, there are some aspects, like the singer’s shirt and headphones, that are colored. To further allude to the “bill,” the design also features some dollar signs in blue.

This outfit costs 60 dollars on Shakira’s portal, where it can already be ordered and delivered to locations around the globe. Shakira’s image soon gained popularity on social media and divided opinion; some thought she was foolish, while others applauded her for keeping up with her payments.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Shakira has released clothing that is inspired by one of her songs. She previously done this with the non-limited edition versions of the two songs “Monotonía” and “Te Felicito” that she wrote for her ex, Gerard Piqué.
