Shakira, Colombian hitmaker and successful singer, has been the focus of the press for the last couple of months due to the multiple songs she has released where she addresses her mediatic break up with Spaniard ex-football player, Gerard Piqué, with hurtful lyrics and direct attacks.
In recent days, she has mentioned on social media her fellow Colombian singer Karol G, wishing her a happy birthday, which sparked rumors of a collaboration between them since the last time Shakira wished somebody a happy birthday on social media, was Rauw Alejandro, whom she released a collaboration with a few weeks after the message.
The fans of both artists have been immensely active on social media after the rumors broke out, mostly due to the fact that both Shakira and Karol G went through dramatic break ups last year, releasing diss tracks about the topic.
None of the artists or their managing companies have went as far as confirming the collaboration, but with the evidence that the fans gathered, it’s not totally coo-coo to assume that the singers would be releasing a song together.
On January 11th, Shakira released a diss track towards Piqué, name dropping him and his mistress on a pun, while also reminding him of the downgrade he made when he left her. The song went on to be the biggest and most successful release week for a Spanish song in Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and iTunes, in history.
What do you think? Should they release another song about their exes?
