Shakira, a Colombian singer and entrepreneur, and Gerard Piqué, a former footballer, broke up after a relationship that lasted a little over 12 years. Neither of them have publicly discussed this unfortunate incident, but recently Piqué has talked extensively about his current relationship with Shakira.
Despite the numerous issues and allegations that have been made regarding the dissolution of the marriage of both celebrities, Gerard Piqué, a former defender for FC Barcelona, was recently invited to a conversation with content creator John Nellis in which he discussed his ex-wife Shakira.
The interview focused primarily on his former career; among other questions of the trade, Piqué was asked what players would make up his ideal soccer team and who, in his opinion, were the best defenders. Piqué responded by naming several of his FC Barcelona teammates, including Messi and Carles Puyol.
Although he didn’t say it out loud, it was obvious that John Nellis wanted to ask Gerard Piqué a question about his ex. As a result, before Piqué could continue responding to his earlier query about his ideal soccer squad, Nellis interrupted him and asked:
“What is the most famous non-football related contact you have?”. To which the controversial ex-footballer replies, “Maybe I would say Shakira, who was my partner”.
After that, Gerard Piqué quickly changes the subject and attempts to avoid further discussion of it while yet making it plain that he is still in communication with the Colombian.
