Royal Family members won’t attend the King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation

The King Charles III was declared king last year after the saddening announcement of the Queen Elizabeth’s passing on September 8th of last year, however, he will not be fully considered king until he is crowned in a religious ceremony, along with his wife, Camilla Parker, who will become Queen Consort.

The coronation will take place in the upcoming month of May, however, there will be some Royal personalities that will not be attending the ceremony.

Caroline of Monaco for example, sister of the Prince Albert II, will not attend the coronation, which is questionable considering it’s the most important event for the Royal members of Europe.

The explanation for this is because King Charles allegedly had a romance with Caroline before engaging with the late Lady Di, long before Camilla herself, so Camilla specifically asked for her not to be on the ceremony, despite being the assigned representant from the Monaco Royal Family. This, of course, has been perceived as a jealousy attack.

As most may know, marriages in the Royal institution are not usually for love, most likely for political purposes such as reuniting two important royal families and creating blood bonds between them. Charles and Caroline were in plans to be wed precisely to reunite the two families, though it never ended up happening because Caroline decided to marry a non-royal man named Philippe Junot.

The act was considered treason and it has caused distancing between the two families until now, hence another reason why Caroline most likely won’t attend the ceremony.
