The ex-football player Gerard Piqué seemed to be quite surprised when hearing Shakira’s upcoming single dissing him, and was not expecting such direct mentions of him.
The most controversial split of 2022 was definitely Spanish ex-football player, Gerard Piqué splitting from Colombian hitmaker Shakira due to an infidelity on his part, which led to a wave of revealing break up songs that have been too much drama for the world to take.
In terms of music, the most controversial release from this era of diss tracks from Shakira, has been the collaboration with Argentinian producer Bizarrap, titled “Bizarrap Music Session #53: Shakira”¸ which went so far as name dropping both, Piqué and his mistress in a pun, reducing him to a “novice” and comparing herself and the mistress as a Ferrari and a Twingo. As you may imagine, the controversy was unprecedented and the song became the biggest hit release in the Latin market, in history.
This series of direct attacks towards the Ex-Barcelona player won’t see an end anytime soon, as the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is about to release yet another song, which’s name has not been revealed yet, but judging from what we’ve heard, goes even further than the Bizarrap collaboration, but this new one is rumored to be a collaboration with fellow Colombian singer Manuel Turizo, who’s been getting a lot of media attention after the worldwide hit “Bachata”.
A snippet of the song was leaked, and though it’s mostly unintelligible, people were able to hear this lyrics:
“Long ago I’ve been thirsty of you. I don’t know why I’m always left wanting more, wanting to drink from an empty cup.”
The Spanish news outlet Cataluña made a report about this matter after one of their paparazzi caught Piqué on the streets, the paparazzi asked him if he had heard the leaked snipped to which he gave no response, so the reporter played the snipped and you could only see the amusement in his face, with wide open eyes and a rather surprised expression.
