It has been confirmed that the British royal family will be inviting Prince Harry and his wife, former American actress Meghan Markle, to the official coronation of Charles III as the new King of the United Kingdom and all its colonies, after leaving USA to move back to the UK.
After weeks of intense rumors generated by the release of Prince Harry’s memoir, ‘Spare’, many media were wondering if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be invited to the official coronation of King Charles III.
However, a source close to the British newspaper The Sun has revealed that the Duke and Duchess will be invited to the historic event, which has not been held in the UK for more than seventy years.
.
“Definitely yes they will be invited, but the question is whether they will attend the Coronation and, if they do, on what terms and conditions. The family is divided, and all indications are that Harry is being advised not to agree to anything at this stage and – drag his feet – until the last minute, which makes negotiations with him very difficult.”
“Harry’s camp made it clear that the idea that he would just attend the Coronation and behave himself, but then be stripped of his titles was a total failure.”
The same source claims that another dispute could be generated in the midst of the discussion, as it is presumed that Prince Harry could confront his father about the possible decision he would make to strip them of all their benefits as royals.
Harry and Meghan’s attendance at the event, which is said to last three days, could open an important door of dialogue between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the monarchy, which has seen their relationship worsen drastically over the days.
