The pinnacle of the royal family, King Charles and Queen Camilla are a few months away from being crowned in which would be the most important coronation in England, since it’s been more than 70 years since the last one, when late Queen Elizabeth took the throne in 1953.
It looks like there is a crisis between the King Charles III and the Queen Consort Camilla Parker, and it would be the cause of worry of all the royal family. Allegedly, it all started because of the request that Camilla made to wear an incredibly prestigious crown in her coronation, and it lead to both of them to consider cancelling the coronation altogether.
It was reported that the queen wants to wear a crown that was manufactured specifically for Isabel Bows-Lyon in 1937, however, for the king Charles, that’s not a good idea, since it’s one of the most important and expensive items the monarchy has.
The crown is being disputed by other three countries: Pakistan, India and South Africa, who claim the crown is theirs, and on top of that, the Queen Camilla’s public image is not quite favorable at the moment, due to being widely known as Charles mistress, so wearing a more prestigious crown than the king himself is quite… controversial to say the least.
After having her request turned down by her husband, they had a heated argument, and they allegedly concluded in an agreement to cancel the event, which is set to be held on the upcoming 6th of May.
The crown Camilla wants to wear also could bring up some social problems from the past, which is a conversation they would not want to have in the middle of a coronation. Also, the risk of the other countries requesting the crown or starting yet another dispute could overshadow the coronation itself.
