Andreina Martinez, Miss Dominican Republic and second runner up of the Miss Universe 2022 pageant, gave polemic declarations about R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA’s victory, where she confirms that there was a heavy favoritism towards the local candidate.
The polemic regarding miss USA’s victory as new Miss Universe is still growing. The 28 year old young woman won the crown over the public and critic’s favorite, Amanda Dudamel from Venezuela, who had one of the best curriculums that the pageant has had in the last couple of years.
However, there was another contestant that was notably standing out, and it was Miss Dominican Republic, who took the second runner up position.
Andreina Martinez gave a series of interviews in the United States, where she claimed that R’Bonney could have received help from the local judges that were in charge of choosing the winners, since she was also the local representant.
La Mesa Caliente, a segment from the Telemundo network had Andreina as guest on one occasion, and that’s where she revealed what happened in the pageant and how she felt about the results of it.
“You have double nationality, you are Dominican, but you are also American, do you think that if you had represented the USA, you would have taken the crown?” she was asked by one of the interviewers, to which she replied, “If I had had the Miss USA band, I possibly would have won”.
What do you think about her affirmations? Is Miss Dominican Republic right about that?
