Miss Dominican Republic has given some controversial statements recently, she declared that if she had represented the United States, she would be the winner of Miss Universe 2023, with these statements the candidate unleashed again the controversy around the pageant.
The Dominican Andreina Martinez was the special guest of a television program, where she talked about all the details she lived in the 71st edition of Miss Universe, the Caribbean left everyone in shock when she revealed that she would have liked to change some things.

The representative of the Caribbean country, who also has American nationality, was undoubtedly the one who got the best answers among the three finalists, in addition of having an exotic beauty. However, the winner was R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA.
After this, she attended a show known as “La mesa caliente”, where she was asked an important question: “You have dual nationality, you are Dominican but you are also American. Do you think that if you had represented the United States of America you would have won the crown?“.
Miss Dominican Republic very sure of herself answered; “if I would have had the United States sash, I would have won“. Her answer ignites the controversy of a possible fraud, since the followers were in total agreement with Andreina, and pointed out that the crown should have been between Dominican Republic or Venezuela.
