Tom Brady surprised this morning by releasing a video confirming his permanent retirement from the NFL.
“I’m going to get to the point right away. I’m retiring for good,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB began in the post he made on his social media.
“I know the process was a big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I thought I would press record and let you know first,” he continued, also specifying that athletes receive only once in a lifetime “a super emotional retirement essay” and that unfortunately he already exhausted the one that corresponded to him last year when he announced his retirement precisely on a day like today but that ended up not being fulfilled as he returned to play.
The NFL star ended by saying, “Thank you guys, thank you so much, thank you so much to each one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”- Tom Brady
Recall that Tom Brady had announced exactly one year ago that he would retire after 22 NFL seasons, saying, “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” referring to his then-wife Gisele Bündchen and their children.
