One of the biggest losses in the music world has undoubtedly been the loss of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. There have been personalities so important that movies are taking up their lives through biopics, and the time has come for the king.
After announcing that the life of musician Michael Jackson would be brought to the big screen, now new details have come to light about what the production will be and above all, the most important thing, which is who will give life to the protagonist.
It was through a press release that Lionsgate announced that Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar, will be the one who will bring him to life in the production, information that was confirmed from the account of the young singer and the late King of Pop.
Antoine Fuqua will be the director of the film and will have a script by John Logan, known for projects such as ‘Spectre’ and ‘Gladiator’. “Including his most iconic performances that led him to become the greatest entertainer of all time,” commented production company Lionsgate.
Some key moments that will be included in the film are his beginnings and part of his adult life, but being a project made by the family, possibly some of the musician’s scandals will not be included, especially the abuse allegations he received in 2003.
“Jaafar embodies my son. It’s so wonderful to see him carry on the Jackson legacy of artists and performers,” the late Michael Jackson’s mother commented on the 26-year-old’s first major project.
