Katy Perry made an interesting confession when she attended the debut album event of singer Cyn, who she mentors, last Friday, January 27th. During the party, the renowned singer spoke to guests and revealed that she turned down a collaboration with Billie Eilish.
According to the “Firework” performer, she received an email introducing the then-new artist and suggesting a collaboration between the two for the acclaimed song “Ocean Eyes“.

“Big mistake. Huge mistake,” she continued.

The song “Ocean Eyes” was Billie Eilish’s debut single, released solo on SoundCloud in 2016. The song, written by the artist herself in collaboration with her brother Finneas O’Connell, drew attention and paved the way for the singer to later become one of the biggest names in the music industry.
