Miss Universe 2022 gives up her crown as Miss USA and announces her new replacement

After emerging victorious at Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel, will have to step down from her duties as Miss USA 2022 and one of her opponents during the local pageant, Morgan Romano, will take her place this Friday, January 27th.

Through social networks, the production company RPM, announced that this Friday the winner of Miss Universe 2022 will be present at the Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn, Alabama, to crown Miss North Carolina, who came in second place in the national competition, as the new queen of the United States.

Since she was crowned Miss Universe, R’Bonney Gabriel has important commitments to fulfill, so Romano will have to take over the local duties that Miss Texas left behind last January 14th.

It was also clarified that the new queen “will not compete in Miss Universe” and will only fulfill the duties of Miss USA 2022, although there is a possibility that an exception will be made and she will be a candidate for the next version of Miss Universe.

On her social networks, Morgan Romano identified herself as Miss USA and in her Instagram stories she has shared the news, however, so far she has not referred specifically to the position she will occupy next.

Morgan Romano, 25, studied at the University of South Carolina, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She is currently pursuing a career in applications engineering, in addition to her modeling work.

She identifies herself as passionate about technology and science education for children and in her spare time she volunteers in a project of this type.
